West Ham United continued their impressive run of form in pre-season on Saturday, beating Ipswich Town 2-1 at Portman Road.

The travelling Hammers faithful got the opportunity to see a handful of the club’s summer signings in the clash against the Tractor Boys, with excitement as Felipe Anderson started against the Championship outfit.

West Ham broke their transfer record to land the Brazilian attacker, with the skilful forward moving to the English capital from Lazio for a reported £36 million.

Anderson’s acquisition means that the Hammers have an array of riches in attacking midfield, with the South American to battle against Marko Arnautovic, Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko for a starting berth in Pellegrini’s side.

The Brazilian scored his first West Ham goal on Saturday, heading home from close range, in a sight that the supporters will hope will be commonplace once the Premier League season starts back.

The Hammers fans took to Twitter in the aftermath to discuss Anderson’s performance, with many impressed and excited by the big-money signing.
