West Ham United open their 2018-19 Premier League season on Sunday with a tricky trip to face Liverpool at Anfield.

The Hammers fans are full of expectation and excitement ahead of the new campaign after an expansive summer in the transfer market that saw a host of signings arrive at the London Stadium.

West Ham have confirmed on their official website that all of the new faces will be fit and ready to play on Merseyside if called upon.

This includes Ukrainian attacking midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko, who has shaken off a hip complaint to make himself available for selection should Manuel Pellegrini pick him.

In terms of injury news, long-term absentees Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Andy Carroll and Edimilson Fernandes remain on the sidelines but there are no new concerns for West Ham.

It will be interesting to see what West Ham’s starting XI looks like, with Pellegrini taking charge of his first competitive fixture and plenty of new options at the manager’s disposal.

While the opening encounter against Liverpool will be a difficult fixture, if the Hammers are competitive it bodes well for a positive season.
