West Ham United are due to face off against Sheffield United in a Premier League match at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers side will be looking to return to winning ways after having lost their previous two league games.

West Ham will however face a tough test form Sheffield United who have been playing with plenty of spirit so far this season and who managed to record an impressive 1-0 win over Arsenal on Monday night.

The Hammers are set to have defender Aaron Cresswell available again, according to a report which was published by Sky Sports.

The left-back had to miss West Ham’s recent loss against Everton due to a groin strain but did manage to train during the past week without any issues.

The report added that Winston Reid will not be available for selection against the Blades.

The New Zealand international is however closing in on making a return to the Hammers first-team fold after having recently played for the club during an U-23’s fixture.

West Ham will be the slight favourites to win the game considering that they will be playing at home and on paper, also have a stronger side than their opponents for the game.

The Hammers do however not have an exactly good record against Sheffield United.

West Ham have managed to win just one out of their previous seven meetings against Sheffield United at home.

The Irons last time that they beat the Blades at home was when the two sides faced off in a Premier League clash back in November 2006.
