West Ham United are due to play against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Monday night in a Premier League clash.

The Hammers will be looking for victory against the newly promoted side following a 2-0 win against Norwich City during their last league game before the international break.

West Ham will have to make do without the services of injury prone players Winston Reid and Michail Antonio, according to a report published by Sky Sports.

England international Antonio recently underwent surgery on a hamstring injury, which he sustained last month and is expected to return to competitive action early next year.

New Zealand international Reid, who missed the entirety of last season, remains out of action for the near future due to a knee injury.

West Ham can fancy their chances of victory. They have played some attractive football this season so far.

On the other hand, Villa have not had the best of starts to life in the Premier League as they have thus far lost three out of their four games to date and won the other one.

Manuel Pellegrini will however be wary that his side cannot afford to take the Villans lightly, especially as they do not have a good record against them at Villa Park.

Villa have lost just two out of their 18 Premier League games played at home against the Hammers.

The last time that they lost to the East Londoners on home turf was back in February 2014.

Villa also have good players such as John McGinn and Jack Grealish in their side and could cause trouble for West Ham.
