West Ham United are due to play against capital city rivals Crystal Palace in a Premier League encounter at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers side, who are currently in fifth position on the Premier League standings, will be looking for victory in order to continue their good start to the season.

West Ham are set to be without goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski for up to three months, as reported by Sky Sports.

The Poland international sustained an injury while he was taking a Hammers free-kick against Bournemouth last weekend.

However, West Ham will be able to call upon the services of Jack Wilshere, who has returned to full fitness.

The former Arsenal star however did recently miss a day of training due to a slight muscle twinge and Pellegrini may thus opt to be safe and not start him against Palace.

Hammers stalwart Winston Reid will play no part in the game and remains out of action for the long-term.

West Ham will go into the game as favourites. They have been playing well recently and also have home advantage.

In addition to this, the Hammers have dominated the Eagles during recent Premier League games between the teams.

West Ham are unbeaten during their past eight Premier League games played against Roy Hodgson’s side.

Palace have managed to take just one point from the three top-flight games which they have played against West Ham at the London Stadium.

West Ham must just get the basics right on the day and defend well and they should be able to claim three points from the game.
