West Ham in concrete talks to sign Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur

West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, according to TMW.

Negotiations between both clubs are said to be advancing quickly, with the Hammers keen to wrap up a deal before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Pandur has been one of Hull’s most consistent performers since he joined the club from Fortuna Sittard in the Netherlands.

Last season, the 25-year-old played 44 times in the Championship and kept six clean sheets.

His performances earned him a clean sweep of awards as he was named Hull City Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year.

A move to West Ham would see Pandur return to top-flight football for the first time since his days at Serie A side Hellas Verona.

Pandur could be a replacement for Areola

West Ham have already signed Mads Hermansen from Leicester City this summer.

The Danish shot-stopper has endured a difficult start to life at the London stadium, conceding eight goals in his opening two Premier League games.

He conceded three times from a corner in the 5-1 humbling at home to Chelsea.

Alphonse Areola took his spot in the EFL Cup second round against Wolverhampton Wanderers but was powerless to stop West Ham from falling to a 3-2 defeat.

The Frenchman’s performance hardly impressed Graham Potter, who is now reportedly spearheading the club’s push to sign Pandur.

Pandur could come in as a replacement for Areola, whose future at the London Stadium is up in the air. His arrival would also keep Hermansen on his toes.

Early signs suggest West Ham could slip into a relegation battle if they don’t significantly reinforce their squad this summer.

They’re already closing in on two new midfielders, having agreed deals to sign Mateus Fernandes from Southampton and Soungoutou Magassa from AS Monaco.

West Ham want to finalise a deal for Pandur before their Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
