West Ham United secured their Premier League status on Saturday with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

After Joao Mario put the Hammers into the lead in the first-half, a top-notch volley from Mark Noble secured all three points for David Moyes’ men.

The result means that the London club are no longer looking over their shoulders and West Ham can play out their remaining games of the campaign without worry.

While the victory was the most-important element of the Hammers’ victory, the goal Noble scored will live long in the memory of the supporters.

With West Ham attacking through a free-kick from the right flank, the ball was headed clear by the Leicester defence but the Irons skipper volleyed the ball first time into the Foxes goal.

The technique displayed by the Hammers midfielder was exquisite and it certainly got the supporters excited on Twitter in the aftermath.

Noble has at time split the West Ham supporters’ opinions, but they were united in praising the stalwart after the Leicester win – the best tweets are here.
