West Ham United are one of the teams interested in signing Nice midfielder Jean-Michel Seri, according to the Mirror.

The Hammers are expected to be busy this summer after the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini as manager, who has replaced David Moyes in the hotseat.

There are a number of priorities for the new West Ham boss and adding quality in the centre of midfield will surely be an area he will look to address.

Seri is coming off the back of an impressive campaign with Nice and has been heavily linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester City.

Should West Ham look to make a move for the all-action star, the club would surely have to break their record transfer fee to engineer a successful deal.

Seri’s combativeness and energy would be a welcome addition at the London Stadium but Pellegrini would have to spend a large percentage of his transfer budget on the Nice star.

Other areas West Ham need to reinforce include goalkeeper and at the centre of their defence.
