West Ham United have no plans of trying to reach a payoff deal with Jack Wilshere if he continues to suffer from injury problems, according to reliable Hammers source Claret and Hugh.

The Englishman arrived at the London Stadium during the summer of 2018 after his boyhood club Arsenal opted to not renew his contract due to injury problems.

Once touted as one of the brightest young prospects in English football, West Ham midfielder Wilshere has been unable to achieve his true potential due to injury troubles.

The Hammers have also not been able to get the best out of the Englishman.

He was barley available for the duration of last season due to injury problems and has so far had to miss the majority of this campaign so far for the exact same reason.

When fit, Wilshere is certainly capable of adding quality to the West Ham first-team.

However, many Hammers fans will now be getting the sense that the club should just part ways with him and give his spot in the first-team to somebody who will be more available.

Wilshere is one of the highest earners of the club. But, since joining West Ham, the former Arsenal star has been restricted to just 14 appearances.

During a ten-year spell with the Gunners, Wilshere made 125 Premier League appearances, scoring seven goals. He also had loan spells with the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Bournemouth.

He made his England bow in 2010 and has gone on to appear 34 times for the Three Lions, scoring two goals.

West Ham fans will hope that after a recent injury setback, Wilshere can play a part in Manuel Pellegrini’s first-team set-up again very soon.
