West Ham United are interested in striker Vedat Muriqi, according to a report which was published by Turkish source Sabah.
The 25-year-old is currently on the books of Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The reported West Ham target joined the Super Lig giants during the summer transfer window after having scored 17 goals in all competitions from 36 appearances last season whilst he was on the books of Caykur Rizespor.
Muriqi has started the new season well for Fenerbahce as he has so far gone on to score two goals for the club form three league appearances.
Internationally, he has managed to score seven goals for the Kosovo national team from 22 appearances and found the back of the net during his country’s 5-3 defeat against England last Tuesday.
In addition to finding the back of the net, he also assisted the other two goals for his country. They put up a good fight against the England and Muriqi’s performance was commendable.
West Ham are not the only side that are believed to be interested in the player as the report also added that the likes of Tottenham, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Valencia are also interested.
It appears that Muriqi may not be short of potential suitors during the summer transfer window following his exploits against England.
West Ham would be advised to move quick to try and sign the centre forward, who would be an excellent option to replace Javier Hernandez in the Hammers squad and provide competition to Sebastien Haller and Albian Ajeti.
