According to Football.London, Carlos Sanchez decided not to leave West Ham United in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that Sanchez turned down more than one offer to stay at the London Stadium and fight for his place in the West Ham team.

Turkish Super Lig side Antalayasport and Spanish clubs Leganes, Huesca and Cadiz all want to secure the services of the 33-year-old defensive midfielder, but the Colombia international decided to turn them down, according to the report.

Disappointing West Ham United spell

Sanchez joined West Ham from Italian club Fiorentina in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Football.London to be worth £4 million.

The Colombia international is on a salary of £64,000 per week at the Hammers, according to the report.

According to WhoScored, the former Aston Villa defensive midfielder has made one start and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers so far this season, while in 2018-19, he made two starts and five substitute appearances in the league for the London club.
