West Ham United fans left the London stadium on Saturday feeling robbed, after a 2-2 draw against Leicester City.

The Hammers conceded a late equaliser as Harvey Barnes stole a point for the Foxes, but in reality that strike should not have mattered.

West Ham striker Lucas Perez came off the bench and scored to put the side 2-1 up, while he also netted a second soon after – which was wrongly ruled out for offside.

The Spanish striker arrived at the club last summer in a £4 million deal from Arsenal and many if the Hammers supporters were hopeful he could be a success.

However, Perez has largely been on the fringes this season, with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez getting the opportunity to play ahead of him.

Despite being disappointed by the nature of the draw on Saturday, plenty of the West Ham fans took to Twitter to give positive reports about Perez’s performance.

While the striker’s future at the Hammers is still up in the air, the Spaniard was praised for his efforts in a 12-minute cameo that should have won the home side the game.

Here are the best tweets from the West Ham fans.
