West Ham want to sell two loaned-out players today

West Ham United want to permanently offload out-on-loan duo Jordan Hugill and Edimilson Fernandes before the January transfer window closes, according to Claret and Hugh.

The Hammers have been linked with make some signings before Thursday’s 11pm deadline, but there could well be exits from the London Stadium as well if the latest report is to be believed.

Hugill was a January signing himself, joining West Ham from Preston North End 12 months ago but failing to make an impact at the Premier League club.

While David Moyes had some faith in the striker, Manuel Pellegrini has not given the attacker an opportunity and has subsequently offloaded him to Middlesbrough on loan this term.

The report suggests that West Ham want a fee of around £7 million for Hugill to allow him to put his Hammers nightmare to bed.

Fernandes has spent the first half of this season on loan at Fiorentina and has made a positive impact with the Serie A outfit.

Despite West Ham not having an overabundance of available and able central midfielders, the versatile Swiss star was clearly surplus to requirements at the start of the campaign and now looks unlikely to return.

Recuperating money for Hugill and Fernandes would help to balance the Hammers books, as neither player seems likely to play a role at the club while Pellegrini is in the hotseat.
