West Ham v Birmingham Preview

Like the rest of you, I'm still buzzing from the win at Blackpool on Wednesday.  It's a little premature to say we've turned the corner, but there were some great signs of what we are capable of.  There was a bit of second half syndrome and we must stop allowing teams to come back at us like that, but with two proper full backs at last and Tomka growing in stature, it could be that we are stable enough to withstand it.

Big shouts have also got to go to our new signings, Keane and O'Neill.  Keane's constant barking will make a big difference to a side that is very quiet.  His finishing will also prove pretty handy I reckon.  Meanwhile, Gary O'Neill looks to be settling in well and gives good balance to the team.  I wouldn't tinker too much with things, Gabbidon is definitely out, not sure what the latest on Tomkins and Upson is, but I'll assume they are fit…

Green

Bridge – Upson – Tomkins – Jacobsen

Obinna – Parker – Noble – O'Neill

Piquoinne – Keane

Bench – Boffin, Reid, Kovac, Faubert, Spector, Cole and Boa-Morte

I really hope the boys use the result at St Andrews a couple of weeks back as a sting with which to bite back at Birmingham.  3 points would be great for the battle at the bottom and drag the blues back down into it.  Come on you Irons!!!!
