West Ham United take on Liverpool in a Premier League clash on Monday night, with both sides eager to record three points.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will be the firm favourites to win this game but they cannot afford to take Manuel Pellegrini’s side, who have blew hot and cold this season, lightly.

West Ham come into the game having lost their last two games against Wolves and Bournemouth respectively.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will hope that three points can keep them in a commanding position in the Premier League title race.

West Ham will go into the game as underdogs but can at least take inspiration from the fact that fellow mid-table outfit Leicester City managed to hold Jurgen Klopp’s side to a 1-1 draw last Wednesday.

West Ham vs Liverpool team news

There is no team in the Premier League at the moment that has a worse injury list then Pellegrini’s side.

Winston Reid and Manuel Lanzini remain out of action for the long-term as do Carlos Sanchez and Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Hammers have received a boost as striker Marko Arnautovic could potentially be available for the game, according to BBC Sport.

The 29-year-old has arguably been West Ham’s best attacking player so far this season and has gone on to score seven top-flight goals.

Samir Nasri is set to miss the game due to a calf injury while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and Aaron Cresswell could potentially be fit.

Liverpool could well field the available-again James Milner at right-back, as Trent Alexander-Arnold is missing, while Joe Gomez is a long-term absentee and Dejan Lovren will sit out.
