West Ham team news: Boost ahead of City clash, Moyes gives Benrahma hint

West Ham United will have a fully fit squad to select from for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Manchester City, with striker Sebastien Haller returning to availability.

The Hammers put forward a spirited response in their last game against rivals Tottenham, coming back from 3-0 down to record a last-gasp 3-3 draw in dramatic scenes.

West Ham were without striker Haller for the game against Spurs, with the targetman suffering from a slight injury in the lead-up to the fixture.

The Irons have also since signed Said Benrahma on loan from Brentford, with Hammers boss David Moyes suggesting the new attacker will be brought into the team slowly.

“We’ve got everybody in pretty good order,” the West Ham boss told the club’s official website.

“Seb Haller picked up a bit of an injury in training before the last game at Tottenham, but he’s trained [this week] so we’re expecting him to be available as well this weekend.

“Said is doing well. He needs to get up to speed of what we want and where we’re at, but the way the players are playing has given me the opportunity to take a little more time with him anyway.

“It’s a bit like I’ve always said with the boys from the Championship. I’m not in a great rush to put them into the team – I want to give them opportunities, but I want to do it at the right time when I think it’s best for them.”

West Ham will know that they will need to be at their best against a City side that are capable of inflicting maximum pain on opponents if they are not focused.

The Hammers have suffered a number of heavy defeats against Pep Guardiola’s men in recent times and as such Moyes will urge his side to cut out silly mistakes.

West Ham have overcome a slow start to the season to impress in the last month, with the switch to a back three paying dividends for the club.
