West Ham send scouts to watch summer target, 21-year-old in their gaze

West Ham reportedly sent scouts to watch Bartlomiej Dragowski in action for Empoli against Fiorentina last Sunday, according to a report published by Tuttomercatoweb.

The keeper who is actually on loan from Fiorentina managed to keep a clean sheet against his parent club as Empoli won the game 1-0. D

ragowski has so far conceded 22 goals from 14 games. However, this is not an indication of his performances as he has been relatively decent between the sticks. He is actually playing for a side which lies in 18th place on the Serie A standings and which is not playing an attractive brand of football.

In April, Dragowski broke the record for the most amount of saves made in a single Serie A game as he made 17 stops to help his side earn a 0-0 draw against Atalanta.

West Ham will need to sign a new goalkeeper this summer to provide cover for number one Lukasz Fabianksi, given that Adrian is set to leave the club this summer.

Fabianski has been brilliant in goal for the Hammers this season and has been arguably the best player for the club.

However, he is 34-years-old and West Ham need someone who can provide him with strong competition for his place in the side given that he is now approaching the latter years of his career.

Dragowski would be a good purchase for the East Londoners. At just 21-years-old, he will likely continue to get better with age and could be a good long-term investment for the Hammers.
