Sam Byram is one of a number of players that could leave West Ham United this summer, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.
Manuel Pellegrini took over as the new Hammers boss last week and is already thought to be making a number of changes that he sees fit as he prepares for life in east London.
The 64-year-old Chilean joined from Hebei China Fortune following the departure of David Moyes, however, he will know what it takes to succeed in the Premier League, having won the competition with Manchester City.
Byram is thought to be one of a number of people to be allowed to leave the club, having struggled to claim a regular spot in the first-team since his arrival from Leeds United.
Having joined from the Elland Road outfit in January 2016 for a fee of around £3.7million, a lot was expected of the 24-year-old, who had other clubs interested in signing him as well at the time.
However, he failed to make the breakthrough expected off him and, despite being set back by a number of injuries, it appears he failed to make the most of the opportunities he did have.
This season, Byram only managed to make 247 minutes of Premier League football and would have hoped a new manager could have given him the chance to restart his West Ham career.
Despite the arrival of Pellegrini, it looks like the versatile wide man will be departing from the London Stadium in the near future and will not come as a shock to a number of the club’s fans.
