West Ham monitoring Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot -ExWHUEmployee

It is not news that West Ham United are in the market for a creative midfielder to bolster the engine room. The Hammers are currently analysing options before swooping.

Names like Harvey Elliott, James McAtee, Bilal El Khannouss, and Matheus Fernandes are reportedly on the club’s shortlist. But ExWHUEmployee revealed a new name under consideration.

Per the West Ham insider, the Irons are monitoring VfB Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot, who enjoyed a terrific campaign for the Bundesliga side.

Millot played a key role as Stuttgart won the DFB Pokal, scoring twice in the final against Arminia Bielefeld in the 4-2 win.

The energetic midfielder bagged six goals and five assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances.

The 23-year-old also registered 12 goals and eight assists across 43 matches last term. In 2023/24, Millot recorded six goals and 10 assists in 35 outings.

Millot records 5.69 progressive carries and 1.96 progressive passes per game. He is a technically proficient, left-footed ace who can split defence with a pass and crash the box to score.

The Frenchman reportedly has a €20 million release clause in his contract and is open to a move away from Stuttgart.

Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeness developed Millot and said of the France Under-21 international, “The lad is blessed with extraordinary gifts. He is exceptionally good.”

West Ham would be wise to prioritise Millot over flashier names (View).

While others on the shortlist may come with inflated fees and fierce competition, Millot represents a wise, under-the-radar opportunity.

He is already producing elite-level output in a top-five league, but remains strangely overlooked in the market. That kind of value rarely lasts.

His blend of technical flair, final-third invention, and tactical maturity makes him ideal for a side that needs creativity without compromising on work ethic.

At just 23, he is only scratching the surface.
