West Ham in talks to sign Ardon Jashari, Hammers also fancy teammate Joel Ordonez

West Ham United need a massive squad overhaul in the summer transfer window. The Hammers have several positions they must reinforce to improve on their woeful performances this season.

West Ham could use strengthening in the centre-forward position and the engine room. Manager Graham Potter needs quality and technically proficient operators in midfield next season.

Carlos Soler will likely return to Paris Saint-Germain after an underwhelming season, while Tomas Soucek’s future is up in the air, and the same goes for James Ward-Prowse.

West Ham must recruit new midfielders to bolster the ranks, and the Irons are reportedly in talks to get one deal over the line.

According to ExWHUEmployee (via The West Ham Way), the Hammers are in talks to sign Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari. They are negotiating with his agent.

The Swiss youth international is a solid and technically sound operator who can set the tempo from deep. He records a staggering 7.19 progressive passes and 1.39 progressive carries per 90.

Jashari has bagged three goals and four assists in 33 Belgian Pro League appearances this term. He also has vital European experience.

Interestingly, the report mentions that West Ham are also keen on his teammate Joel Ordonez. The 21-year-old is a physically imposing centre-half, but Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring him.

Jashari looks like a stud – sign him up – View

Jashari seemingly has the technique, pace, and power to shine in the Premier League. He has interest from top Serie A sides, and Manchester United were sniffing around him earlier.

The 22-year-old has solid numbers. He will also help reduce the average age of this ageing roster. West Ham must act fast and snap him up before others can make proposals.

If West Ham can sign Jashari and a proper holding midfielder, the club will stand a better chance of competing for a European place next season.
