West Ham fans on Twitter call for Arthur Masuaku to play vs Brighton

West Ham United showed real signs of improvement in the 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday and the Hammers are back in Premier League action on Friday night with a clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.

At least one change will be made to Slaven Bilic’s starting XI, with Andy Carroll suspended after his dismissal at Turf Moor – but the Irons faithful are asking their manager to make another.

Arthur Masuaku is a popular figure among the West Ham fans due to his ability on the front foot and willingness to attack from full-back.

With Aaron Cresswell not fully convincing the masses of late, plenty of the Hammers supporters are calling for the French wideman to be instilled in his place at left-back.

The former Ipswich Town defender was guilty of not blocking the Burnley cross that led to Chris Wood’s equaliser on Saturday, with question marks over his defensive acumen.

Masuaku has shown that when given a chance he can be a real asset to West Ham, with his work-rate and quality endearing him to the fans.

With Marko Arnautovic also not firing on all cylinders yet since his summer move from Stoke City, some of the Hammers support feel the Austrian should also be dropped on Friday.

Masuaku also seems like the man they want brought into the starting XI should this happen, with the former Olympiakos man possessing the attacking malice to play in a more advanced role ahead of Cresswell.

With three points a necessity against the newly promoted side, here are the best tweets advocating for Masuaku to be included in the team to face Brighton.
