West Ham fans take to Twitter to provide their reaction to confirmed departure: “Good riddance”, “Bye”

West Ham United announced on Wednesday that David Moyes has left the club and fans took to social media to provide their reaction to his exit.

The Hammers confirmed on their official website that the former Manchester United manager had left the club following the end of his contract, as they prepare to look for a new manager to lead them to better things.

The Irons revealed on their website that Moyes had been brought to the London Stadium in November to help try and keep them in the Premier League and successfully guided them to a 13th-place finish.

West Ham have also confirmed that Moyes’ assistants Alan Irvine, Stuart Pearce and Bill McKinlay have also departed from the club with immediate effect.

Reports have started to circulate about who could be heading to the London Stadium and there have been several top names that have been linked with the job, including the likes of Paulo Fonseca, Unai Emery and Manuel Pellegrini amongst others.

Fans would be excited with the prospect of one of those high-profile names, as they would like to see their side push on and challenge for a top-half finish, if not a place in European football.

Supporters took to Twitter to reveal their delight that Moyes would not be outstaying his welcome in east London, believing the board finally made the right decision and expect them to bring in a suitable replacement.
