West Ham fans react to Pellegrini’s appointment on Twitter: “Am I dreaming?”, “Honour”

West Ham United announced on their official website on Tuesday morning that Manuel Pellegrini would be their new manager and fans took to social media to reveal their reactions in their droves.

The Chilean manager has replaced David Moyes at the helm of the London Stadium outfit on a three-year deal after he decided to leave Hebei China Fortune.

The former Manchester City boss, with whom he won a Premier League title, has reportedly always wanted a return to the English top-flight, however, it was a surprise to many that he would choose a club like West Ham to make his return.

In fact, the move caught a number of fans off guard and some had still felt as though they were asleep when the news came through.

Many would have been concerned with who could have been named in charge once Moyes had left, with the board hardly making friends with them regarding some of their decisions in the past, but it seems they may have pulled off a major coup.

The Hammers will want to improve on last year’s poor campaign, having battled against the drop for the majority of the season and will believe Pellegrini can guide them further up the table.

The supporters will also be hoping the 64-year-old can use his contacts within the game to help and bring in a number of star-studded signings, although they will remain cautious to how much financial backing he receives.

One thing that should be guaranteed with the arrival of Pellegrini will be an attractive style of football, something that has been longed at the London Stadium for a long period of time.
