I'm sure you are aware by now that Stewart Downing has joined us today. I believe it's a really good signing for us – I can see where he fits into the squad quite easily, and with our attacking options of Cole, Carroll, Nolan, Jarvis, the improving Morrision and now Downing, there will be a few defences that won't fancy coming across our combination of strength, skill and finishing. I imagine Downing will start on the left wing but will enjoy some switching with Jarvis on the right, making the players tough to have a consistent game plan against.
