West Ham have announced a new sponsorship deal with betting firm Betway. This follows the demise of our previous sponsor Alpari, who crashed due to a currency crisis in the Eurozone. Betway will see their logo emblazoned on our shirts and training gear, and will take over the naming rights of the stand previously known as the 'Alpari Stand'. The deal is said to be the biggest in the club's history. Certainky the timing would have worked well for the Hammers, flying high in the top half of the table with a Cup run on the horizon, now that the Senegal debacle is over.
Betway's Executive Director Bob Dutnall said: "West Ham United are a club with a rich history and passionate supporters and we're thrilled to have secured this sponsorship at a time when the team are performing so well.
"The Barclays Premier League is the world's most popular football competition and the sport is synonymous with excitement and betting, making it a perfect fit for our growing brand.
"We are looking forward to supporting the Hammers on the pitch and rewarding their fans off it with innovative Betway offers and special markets."
