Transfer report will please West Ham fans, new faces seemingly on the way

West Ham United are confident a late flurry can see them fill the three positions they desire between now and the end of the window, according to the Football Insider website.

The Hammers have already completed one signing in January, but despite a delay in any more incomings, they are expecting to bring more players in this month.

The goalkeeper position was a matter of urgency for West Ham boss David Moyes, and he addressed that by signing Darren Randolph from Middlesbrough, and now the veteran manager will look to strengthen in other key areas.

One of those is expected to be at right-back, where the Hammers are a little light with Ryan Fredericks out injured. That means they are having to use Pablo Zabaleta in that position, but with matches beginning to come thick and fast, the Londoners will know they may not be able to rely on him all the time.

Other spots in the squad that West Ham are understood to be looking at is the centre of midfield and the forward areas, where Sebastian Haller hasn’t set the world alight at the London Stadium just yet, while they are a little light defensively in the middle.

The Hammers are currently working without a director of football, so it is co-owner David Sullivan who is said to be working on the transfer activity in this window.

With West Ham still in a precarious position in the Premier League table, the next 10 days are going to be important to their future, so all involved will know that there is no room for any error, if the club are to avoid gambling with their top flight status.

Having been linked with a number of players in this window already, it will be interested to see who arrives at the London Stadium between now and the window slamming shut at the end of the month.
