Some West Ham fans provide opinion of Ajibola Ajese’s showing vs Hull

West Ham United progressed to the next round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night, with a routine 5-1 win over Hull City at the London Stadium.

The Hammers’ starting XI was much-changed for the team that was beaten at Arsenal on Saturday, with fringe players and young rising stars getting an opportunity to impress.

One of the West Ham youth-team products to get his chance was 19-year-old central defender Ajibola Alese.

The teenager looked comfortable against the Football League side and did his chances of more regular inclusion in the Hammers first team no harm at all.

Alese has previously spent time out on loan at Accrington Stanley, while the centre-half has also impressed in the West Ham youth and reserve ranks.

While there was a lot of praise for numerous Hammers players after the win, the Irons supporters were in agreement over the standard of the defender’s performance.

With Issa Diop set to be on the sidelines for 10 days at least and West Ham short of options at the back, plenty of fans feel Alese could be an option in upcoming Premier League games.
