Report: West Ham United still want January target, Moyes will personally scout him

According to The Sun, West Ham United are interested in signing Moussa Wague from Barcelona in the summer of 2020.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Hammers were close to signing Wague from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the final days of he January transfer window.

However, the 21-year-old Senegal international right-back joined French outfit Nice on a loan deal until the end of the season instead.

The report in The Sun has claimed that Barcelona could sell the former Eupen youngster in the summer of 2020 for £16 million.

It has been added that West Ham manager David Moyes will go to France to personally scout the21-year-old right-back.

Wague joined Barcelona in 2018 and has made only a handful of appearances for the Blaugrana’s first team.

According to WhoScored, the Senegal international defender made just one appearance in La Liga for Barca this season and played 91 minutes in the Champions League.
