West Ham United officials met with Juventus director Fabio Paratici recently, with six of the Italian champions’ players mentioned as potential additions for the London club, according to Gazzetta dello Sport and Sport Media Set.
It has been widely reported that the Bianconeri chief has been in England, with the Turin giants looking at offloading players this summer to refresh Andrea Pirlo’s inherited squad.
West Ham are in need of quality recruits and some of the names being touted as being available will surely excite the supporters.
The reports state the Hammers have been offered the likes of Alex Sandro, Douglas Costa, Federico Bernardeschi, Sami Khedira, Daniele Rugani and Mattia De Sciglio.
West Ham have been relatively quiet in the transfer market so far this summer and there is a belief the club may well have to sell before they splash the cash.
The Irons have made Tomas Soucek’s loan deal from Slavia Prague permanent, in a positive move for the club, but new faces will surely be needed for David Moyes’ side to be pushing for European qualification next season.
Given that the Juventus players reportedly on offer are international-calibre stars, there will be plenty of suitors, but landing one or two of these players could be the boost that West Ham need to progress in 2020-21.
