Report: West Ham are linked with signing of Bundesliga attacker

Fortuna Dusseldorf star Benito Raman has become the latest player to be linked with a move to West Ham United this summer, according to a report published by Sport Bild.

The Belgian international has been a shining star for 10th place Fortuna in the Bundesliga so far this season and has gone on to score nine goals and provide three assists from 24 appearances in the German top-flight so far this term.

West Ham will have to make reinforcements this summer particularly in attack as they look to secure a strong finish on the top half of the standings next season.

Raman could be a good addition to their side and strengthen competition for places in the Hammers’ team. He is versatile, being able to operate on either side of the wing though he plays primarily on the left side of the field.

West Ham fan favourite Felipe Anderson has been linked with a shock move to Real Madrid in the event that Los Blancos fail to capture Chelsea’s Eden Hazard this summer. If the Brazilian were to leave the East Londoners, they would have to push very hard to secure a player like Raman.

If Anderson stays put this summer, Manuel Pellegrini may focus on bolstering other areas of his West Ham squad such as in goal and a deal for the German top-flight attacker may not even end up going ahead.

Lukasz Fabianski is set to remain first-choice keeper for West Ham for the immediate future. The club will however need to push hard to find cover for the Polish international this summer given that Adrian is expected to depart from the club this summer.
