Report: Moyes may bring attacker back to West Ham this month, fans would be happy

West Ham United boss David Moyes is not averse to recalling attacker Grady Diangana from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, according to the Football Insider website.

The exciting Hammers youngster has been helping the Baggies, managed by former London Stadium manager Slaven Bilic, in their quest for promotion back to the Premier League, after moving to The Hawthorns back in August.

Diangana impressed in the early stages of his stint in the Championship, guiding West Brom to the top of the table, in a vibrant attack headlined by himself and the classy Matheus Pereira.

Things have taken a turn for the worst for the Hammers starlet recently though, with an injury having ruled him out of the last five Baggies matches, and it could be that he has played for them for the last time.

That is because there is a chance that West Ham could recall their man, as they seek cover for the currently injured Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko.

The Hammers probably have enough to get through at present, but another injury to a key attacker would leave their squad exposed, so Moyes knows he either has to make a signing in that area of the pitch, or bring his youngster back from West Brom.

West Ham have been actively seeking that player who can play through the middle or out in wide attacking positions, but to date they have been frustrated in their efforts to lure someone to the London Stadium.

If the Hammers do decide to bring Diangana back into their ranks they will need to act quickly, as they only have an option to recall him during the first two weeks of the transfer window.

It is believed that Moyes would prefer for the West Ham star to see out the season getting regular action and experience at The Hawthorns, but time will tell whether he will get that opportunity.
