Reliable source says West Ham to sell fringe man, want £10m

West Ham United are ready to part company with Arthur Masuaku in the summer and want around £10 million for the wideman’s services, according to Claret and Hugh.

The left-back has had a mixed time of it since joining the Hammers from Olympiakos, with the defender in and out of the team.

This term, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini appears to prefer Aaron Cresswell, with Masuaku starting just 14 Premier League games.

The 25-year-old has been deployed further up the pitch depending on the Hammers formation, with the Congo international showing trickery and skill in the final third.

However, the report suggests that West Ham do not have Masuaku in their long-term plans and will cash-in on the Lille-born man if given an opportunity.

If the 25-year-old could improve the defensive side of his game he could become an asset for the Hammers, but he has been something of a liability when facing his own goal.

Masuaku was an unused substitute for West Ham’s 1-1 draw against London rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday at Selhurst Park.
