West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic will return to competitive action in one to two weeks after suffering a foot injury, according to reliable Hammers source exWHUemployee.
The Austrian suffered his foot injury while playing during the club’s humiliating 3-0 defeat against Wolves on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old Arnautovic has been one of West Ham’s best players this season along with goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and has so far scored seven goals and provided two assists from 17 Premier League appearances.
The injury means that he will likely miss his side’s game against Liverpool next Monday. This will be a major blow as Arnautovic is a player who is capable of penetrating any defence in the English top-flight on a good day.
On the bright side for the Hammers, the latest news means that they will not be without the services of the injury-prone player for a long period of time.
Many fans of West Ham will be disappointed by the way in which the Arnautovic treated them by asking for a transfer amidst interest from the Chinese Super League.
However, the services of the striker will be vital during the rest of the season if the Hammers are to ensure that they attain a strong finish on the top half of the standings.
Arnie has only bruised his foot and should be back within 1-2 weeks!! There was no break like first feared 👍⚒
