West Ham United will look to raid Chelsea this summer as they prepared to bring Willy Caballero to the London Stadium, according to a report by Claret and Hugh.
The media outlet, who covers all things Hammers, are stating that Manuel Pellegrini could be tempted to bring one of his most trusted players to join him.
The Chilean manager was announced as the new Irons boss on Tuesday and will be hard at work already to try and convince a number of talented players to join him in east London.
West Ham are in desperate need of a goalkeeper to help improve their side, with just Adrian on the books, as Joe Hart returned back to Manchester City.
Caballero would certainly fit the bill for Pellegrini, who knows him well from his Etihad Stadium days, as well as his time in the La Liga with Malaga.
The Argentina international has had to remain a back-up during his time in the Premier League, both with City and Chelsea, however, he has contributed with solid performances when called into action.
The 36-year-old, who made his international debut earlier in the year and will be heading to the World Cup, could be tempted to reunite with his former boss, especially if the chance of regular first-team football could be on the table.
With his Chelsea contract expiring next summer, it is believed West Ham could be able to sign him for £5million, which would be considered a good deal for a player of his experience and one that Pellegrini knows really well.
