West Ham United are interested in signing Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The Hammers are likely to look for a new centre forward ahead of next season, with unreliable options in the final third currently.
Marko Arnautovic’s head seems elsewhere after speculation over his West Ham future filled column inches in January, while Andy Carroll will leave the club in the summer once his contract expires.
With Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez also not assured to be in Manuel Pellegrini’s contingent once 2019-20 rolls around, a new number nine will surely be a transfer priority.
Mitrovic has been a rare bright spark for a sub-par Fulham side this season and has shown the West Ham scouts that he has what it takes to score consistently in the Premier League.
With the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson creating chances for him, the Serbian could well be the striker the club have craved in recent years.
While Mitrovic does have something of a temper, his commitment cannot be questioned and the striker could well become a West Ham fan favourite if he moves to the London Stadium.
