Man City v West Ham Preview

Just a quick one for today.  I’m really curious how this one will pan out.  City are a quality outfit and we shouldn’t let a defeat against Juventus lull us into a false sense of security.  Their performances in the league have been tenacious and efficient, the game against Palace a good example of that.  They are ticking along quite nicely but one would hope the time for them to trip up may come today against our boys in claret and blue.

Whilst Kouyate is likely to be out for us, a bigger blow for City will be the loss of Vincent Kompany, who has started the season brightly at the back and as an attacking force.  Cheik can be replaced by Obiang who was a lynchpin for us at Anfield.  The only other change is likely to be at the back where Agbonna will be replaced by Tomkins and Jenkinson will silp into right back.

It will be a real test for us but I’m delighted Slaven has been talking up our chances rather than the old approach of going up there and rolling over for City.  We have the squad to take each game as it comes and after our away wins, we have the right to go up there with confidence.  Can’t predict the result, this season so far for us has been anything but predictable, but I am confident we will not disgrace ourselves.

Amazingly, Paddy Power are offering 9/1 on a Hammers win, pretty goods odds considering our away form. You can place a bet here – odds correct at time of publication – 0ver 18s only – please gamble responsibly.
