I understand that John Carew is having a medical at Upton Park, which would imply we are clsoe to signing the big lad. I've heard some rumblings of discontent from some Hammers fans and I don't see why. The guy is costing us no fee and is a decent player. If we were in the prem, I would be underwhelmed, but as a tool to contribute with 10 goals for our promotion push, I'm perfectly happy. He won't be able to play tomorrow due to registration rules, but maybe he will get a run out against Aldershot?
