West Ham have completed the signing of Modibo Maiga from French club Sochaux today. The lad plays up front or on the wing, which will suit Sam's system well, relying as he does on three attacking players across the pitch in his normal tactics.
It's tricky to get excuited about this one, as before our interest in him, I had not heard of the guy, but I do know that Newcastle were sniffing round previously until worry about his injury record -though they went on to sign Demba Ba! But it is clear the board are supporting Sam's targets and I am trsuting his judgement on this one. Welcome to the club Modibo and we look forward to seeing you become a claret and blue legend….
