Hammers must show ‘bouncebackability’

The good thing about remaining in the Carling Cup is that it gives the club a good chance to put Saturday's debacle behind them, let's hope we manage to achieve that.  I see no reason not to take this cup run seriously, the FA Cup is far more competitive and harder to push through and we've not had a decent run since the scousers nicked a victory off us in Cardiff.

As a result, I would not change the line up too much, though I'd certainly revert back to the 442 which had served us well.  I'll assume Upson's hamstring is still troubling him, either way, I'd be tempted to give him a rest and give Illunga another run out at left back.  Barrera looks like he could do with a bit more pitch time to, so I'd go…

Green

Illunga – Gabbidon – Da Costa – Jacobsen

Barrera – Parker – Noble – Behrami

Cole – Piquoinne

Bench: Stetch, Tomkins, Boa Morte, Mccarthy, Obinna, Kovac and Faubert

Prediction – a tough 1-0 win for the Hammers, just hope we can avoid extra time.  If you agree, or even disagree, you can always try online betting with Totesport and grab a free bet.  Come on you Irons!!!
