West Ham United are set to be boosted by the return to the club of young star Grady Diangana next month, with West Bromwich Albion not expected to sign the academy product permanently, according to the Claret and Hugh website.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan with the Baggies until the end of the Championship season next month, but despite former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic looking like leading The Hawthorns’ outfit back to the Premier League, he is not likely to keep the impressive winger.
Diangana was on fire for West Brom earlier in the season, much to the envy of West Ham fans who watched on as one of their brightest products in recent times was flying for another side while their own were struggling badly, however injuries took their toll and he hasn’t been as effective in 2020 to date.
The winger is set to be a major factor in the last nine games of the Championship campaign, which resumes on Saturday, while the Hammers will set about securing their own Premier League status without him.
Should they achieve that though, West Ham could benefit from the return of Diangana, who the London Stadium outfit are pricing at £20 million were any club to take him off their hands.
Bilic knows all about the Hammers prodigy, but appears unwilling to part with that sort of money in order to take the youngster to The Hawthorns permanently.
That would in effect leave the attacker, who has notched five goals during his loan spell with the Baggies to date, in a bit of limbo, but with the Hammers lacking for out and out pace at the top end of the pitch, David Moyes could soon find a role for him.
West Ham have continually faced a battle to bring new signings to London in recent times. The return of Diangana could save them a bit of that trouble down the line.
