West Ham United were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, and after the match their fans turned their frustration to a player who is underperforming for them.
The Hammers went into the game still in trouble in the Premier League, but probably knowing that there are a few sides much worse than them, allowing them to play with a little bit of freedom despite their precarious position.
That seemed to have the right effect for West Ham too, as they made a very good start to the game, and could have been ahead in the contest a lot earlier than they were.
The Hammers were guilty of letting a few chances slip, with Sebastian Haller as guilty as anyone, but they did take the lead as half time approached, when Issa Diop converted a beautiful set piece delivery by Robert Snodgrass.
Unfortunately for West Ham boss David Moyes, his side could not get through to the break with their advantage intact, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin levelled the scores on the stroke of the interval, and try as they might in the second period, there was no finding the net again.
That left the Hammers having to settle for a point, although that is not necessarily a terrible result. Of more concern to the London Stadium faithful is the poor form of Manuel Lanzini.
The attacking playmaker was one of the best players in the league before his injury, but since returning to the West Ham set up he has failed to hit the heights, and is beginning to be accused of looking disinterested, which is never a good thing.
The Hammers fans came down tough on him on Twitter after the final whistle against Everton, with plenty not impressed with his recent form.
