Don Hutchison suggests West Ham should have signed Poland international

Don Hutchison has suggested on Twitter that West Ham United should have signed Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan in the January transfer window.

The former West Ham star believes that Piatek would have been a good partner for Sebastien Haller in attack for David Moyes’s side.

The 24-year-old forward joined German club Hertha Berlin from Milan in the January transfer window.

Stats

Piatek joined Milan from Genoa in Genoa in January 2019, and scored nine goals in 18 Serie A appearances for the Rossineri during the second half of the 2018-19 campaign, according to WhoScored.

During the first half of this season, the Poland international striker made 14 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for Milan, scoring four goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

Signing Jarrod Bowen

West Ham needed a striker to help them avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship, and on January transfer deadline day, they recruited Jarrod Bowen from Championship Hull City for a transfer fee over £20 million, as reported by BBC Sport.
