West Ham have confirmed the signing of Allou Diarra from Marseille for an un-disclosed fee. This comes as a bit of a coup for the Hammers, with the player having recently captained France and potentially being named permanent captain. Diarra plays primarily as a centre mid but can also slot in as a centre half, giving us a fourth option in that troubled position and providing us with sufficient cover there.
It's certainly exciting to have a plyaer of his calibre in the squad, if we can sort out a right back and perhaps another stiker (if Maynard and/or Bladock are to be moved on) then our business is nicely done. Good work Hammers….
