Thankfully another international break is over and we can get back to the good stuff, the bread and butter, the real deal. Call it what you like but I much prefer the Premier League over the turgid international calendar.
It's a trip to winless Burnley that the lads dust off for, but despite the lowly position, the Hammers need to be up for this as this is a game that would trip up the West Ham of old. Burnley will also be taking a 2-2 comeback at Leicester into this one, so their heads will be held high.
Line up wise, it's pretty much as were although the reutrn of Noble is a bit boost for the Hammers, with only Andy Carroll on the 'fully crocked' list. For me, Mark Noble gets straight back in to play from deep and exchange positions with Song when he needs to enforce. Meanwhile, Downing and Morgan can keep the attacking tempo up, feeding our goal machines up front. Oh, and Adrian is in goal!
It's not going to be easy but with the paucity of Burnley's strike force and our attacking ability, we should be looking for at least a draw here, if not a win. This will take us into our test against Man City in good spirits. My prediction is 0-2 to the Hammers with Sakho and Valencia troubling the scorers.
Come on you Irons!
