Angelo Ogbonna is a West Ham player

West Ham have unveiled their latest signing, Angelo Ogbonna.  The 6 ft 3 mountain signs from Champions League runners-up Juventus where he made 41 appearances.  No one seems to know too much about the lad, some are stating the Juve fans are happy to get rid of him, but I think that sounds a little simplistic. Having made 10 appearances for Italy’s national team, the guy clearly has some pedigree and if he can settle into the rhythm of the Premiership, he could be a key player for us.

The signing means we have 4 solid centre halves at the club for the first time in ages, it will be great to think we are keeping all these guys but with the growing stature of Oxford and Burke, I have a slight suspicion that an offer for James Collins would not be turned down.  We’ll wait and see and I genuinely hope not as Ginge has been great for us, albeit with the couple of match costing mistakes he carries with him.

Anyway, here’s a couple of shots of Angelo having his medical.
