‘A phenomenal player’ – Agent admits West Ham star could move to Italy

West Ham United playmaker could end up at Lazio, according to agent Vincenzo Morabito, who has described the Argentine as a ‘phenomenal player’.

Speculation over Felipe Anderson returning to the Italian capital has been making transfer news of late, but it could well be that the Serie A side are interested in another of the Hammers’ attacking options.

Morabito is a FIFA agent and was discussing potential additions at Lazio with Noi Biancocelesti, with the intermediary naming West Ham star Lanzini as someone the Italians could be interested in.

“I mention a name that hasn’t come up yet, a real phenomenon: West Ham’s Lanzini,” he told the Lazio fans site.

“They (Lanzini & Anderson) don’t actually play, because coach Moyes gives more practical players space.

“Felipe won’t come back because the managers in Lazio don’t like the horses to come back.

“Lanzini, who is returning from an injury, was valued at €50 million two summers ago. He’s a phenomenal player, able to emulate David Silva, and he costs €15 million.”

West Ham will want to sell some of the club’s fringe players to free up funds for new signings and if a big offer came in for Lanzini, it surely would be something to consider.

The Argentina international is clearly a massively talented player and someone who has showed amazing spells in the Hammers’ colours – especially in his earlier days at the London Stadium.

However, Lanzini has suffered from serious injuries during his time at West Ham and has also shown a lot of inconsistency, much to the supporters’ collective frustration.

The 27-year-old was once a critical player for the Irons but he only started 14 Premier League games last season – as such, his future remains up in the air as the latest transfer rumours circulate.
