Carlton Cole has declared he wants to see more from West Ham United star Felipe Anderson between now and the end of the season.

The Hammers are deep in the relegation mire in the Premier League, and over the rest of the campaign will need their best players to stand up and be counted, with the Brazil international very much seen as one of those.

Anderson had a fine first season at the London Stadium, but he has really struggled in a West Ham shirt in what has been something of a stop-start term for the former Lazio attacker.

The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and created another five in his opening campaign in Hammers colours, but has only found the net once this season, although he has registered another five assists but it hasn’t been good enough.

Anderson returned from injury at Liverpool on Monday night, as West Ham went down 3-2 against the Premier League champions elect, but once again he was largely ineffective and Cole has had enough of the situation.

“Felipe Anderson is a great player, but he’s not pulling his weight about at the moment. He should be doing a lot more because he’s got so much talent, but he didn’t really look bothered yesterday [against Liverpool],” The Boot Room quote him telling Sky Sports.

Clearly Hammers fans have not seen the best of the playmaker, with his eye for goal seemingly waned, although their plight and the amount of defending they have to do has probably not helped the situation.

One thing is for sure, if West Ham are going to get out of the situation they are in, they will be looking for the very top form from the Brazilian, who on his day has shown that he can be one of the best players in the Premier League.
