West Ham United have confirmed their starting XI for today’s pre-season friendly against Ipswich Town, with summer signing Lukasz Fabianski to make his first start for the London club.

The Hammers fans are excited ahead of the new campaign, with Manuel Pellegrini appointed as manager and a host of signings brought to the club in the last six weeks.

Fabianski is one of those after a move from Swansea and the Poland international will hope to be West Ham’s number one in 2018-19.

The side to face Ipswich will have a handful of other new men in the starting XI, with Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko both in the team to take on the Tractor Boys.

Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks and Fabian Balbuena have also been named in the West Ham starting XI.

Interestingly, midfielders Cheikhou Kouyate and Pedro Obiang have both also been selected by Pellegrini, despite increasingly rumours that the paid could well be sold by the Hammers in the next week.

After a 3-1 win over Aston Villa last time out, West Ham will be keen to record another victory over Championship opposition today and build momentum ahead of the Premier League campaign starting in two weeks’ time.
