The race to prise West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville from the London Stadium has taken a decisive turn, with Italian giants AC Milan and AS Roma pulling out.
Summerville has emerged as one of the most sought-after players of the summer transfer window following West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League, but financial constraints have effectively priced out his Serie A suitors.
According to reports from France, both Milan and Roma have realised they cannot compete with the financial power of elite English clubs and Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite initial enquiries, Roma have turned their attention to Marseille’s Mason Greenwood, while Milan have also conceded defeat as Summerville’s valuation soars beyond their summer budget.
